Raymond Goh, editor of Singapore Tombstones Epigraphic Materials: Singapore Tombstones Epigraphic Materials 新加坡墓碑铭集录 is an archive of tomb inscriptions from Bukit Brown Cemetery, Hokkien Cemetery, Seh Ong Cemetery, and other historic burial grounds across Singapore. This project documents names, dates, genealogies, dialect groups, and cultural practices engraved on headstones, preserving invaluable Chinese diaspora heritage and local history. We hope that researchers, family historians, and heritage enthusiasts will find accurate transcriptions, translations, and context that can help illuminate migration routes, clan networks, and community life in Singapore, during the early 19th century, Straits Settlements, World War 2 and colonial period.
